Registered Massage Therapy
Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) is a regulated health profession in British Columbia.¹ RMTs are trained to assess and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions — from everyday aches and tension to injury recovery and chronic pain management.
Whether you're dealing with discomfort from long hours at a desk, a sports injury, or a more complex recovery, massage therapy can help you move better, feel better, and stay healthier over the long term.

Massage therapy offers both immediate and long-term benefits. Some of the most common reasons patients seek treatment include:
-
Pain relief — Reducing muscle tension, soreness, and chronic pain²
-
Improved mobility — Restoring range of motion and flexibility in stiff or injured joints³
-
Injury recovery — Supporting the body's healing process after strains, sprains, or overuse injuries⁴
-
Posture and tension correction — Addressing the imbalances caused by repetitive movements, desk work, or physical labour
-
Stress reduction — Lowering physical and mental tension through hands-on, therapeutic touch⁵
-
Injury prevention — Identifying and addressing problem areas before they become injuries³
Every treatment at Mountain Coast RMT is tailored to your body and your goals. No two sessions look exactly the same.
treatment options
Massage Therapy Initial: 60 Minutes
For new patients
Your first visit includes a comprehensive assessment, consultation, and your first hands-on treatment. Extra time is dedicated to understanding your health history, identifying the root of your concerns, and building a personalized treatment plan. If you're new to the clinic, this is where to start.
Massage Therapy: 45 & 60 Minutes
For returning patients
These sessions focus on hands-on treatment, with brief reassessment and plan adjustments as needed. Choose 45 or 60 minutes depending on how much time you'd like and how many areas you'd like addressed.
Massage Therapy: 90 Minutes
For returning patients who want an extended session
A longer treatment allows for more thorough, full-body work or the ability to focus on multiple problem areas in greater depth. Please call, email, or text to book a 90-minute session.
TMD Massage Therapy: 45 Minutes
For both new and returning patients
Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder can cause jaw pain, clicking, headaches, and neck tension. This focused treatment targets the muscles and joints involved in TMJ dysfunction. New TMJ patients and returning patients are both welcome to book this appointment.
